Android Application Development (Online, Self-Paced)
This course introduces programmers to Android Application ("App") Development. Android is the most widely used mobile operating system, and the world's best-selling operating system, selling more than all Windows, iOS, and Mac OS X devices combined. The Google Play store has over 1 million published Android apps, with over 50 billion apps downloaded. Over 71% of mobile developers develop for Android, and as of 2014, there were over 1 billion active Android users. Android is also embedded in many commercial and industrial devices, and this trend is expected to explode over the next several years.
There is high demand for programmers with the skills and abilities to develop and maintain the 1 million plus Android applications used by consumers and businesses. This represents a tremendous career opportunity for programmers who acquire these skills. This online Android Application Development course is an excellent step toward a rewarding career as an Android Application Developer.
