AI Governance & Responsible AI

This training introduces attendees to AI and ethics; AI governance and Responsible AI (RAI); RAI and risk management frameworks; and related topics of interest to organizations as they plan the safe, secure and trustworthy development, deployment, and use of AI systems.

• Individuals responsible for or involved in AI governance, responsible/trustworthy AI, AI risk management, and related initiatives.
• Individuals involved in any stage of an AI system’s lifecycle, including the conception, design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, use, and governance of such systems.
• Anyone considering a career in AI governance or simply interested in the topic.

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Upon completing this course, participants will:

• Have an understanding of the importance of ethics, safety, security, and trustworthiness in the design, development, deployment, use, and management of AI systems.
• Have an understanding of AI governance, responsible/trustworthy AI, and AI risk management.
• Gain exposure to the multidisciplinary nature of AI systems and the myriad risks they pose including, but not limited to, socio-economic risks and unique/significant cybersecurity risks.
• Gain exposure to the overwhelming number of AI frameworks, standards, policies, and other related guidance.
• Have a deeper understanding of select AI governance guidance like the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and the Army AI Layered Defense Framework.
• Gain practical tools for AI governance.
• Gain an understanding of the significant and growing gap between the exploding number, types, capabilities, and use of AI-enabled systems/applications and their proper governance as well as what individuals can do to narrow that gap.

Is there a discount available for current students?

UMBC students and alumni, as well as students who have previously taken a public training course with UMBC Training Centers are eligible for a 10% discount, capped at $250. What is the cancellation and refund policy?

Student will receive a refund of paid registration fees only if UMBC Training Centers receives a notice of cancellation at least 10 business days prior to the class start date for classes or the exam date for exams.
