COLUMBIA, Md., Apr. 2, 2021 – UMBC Training Centers, a premier provider of professional and technical training for individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, and government agencies, today announced it is working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deliver AWS Classroom Training to learners through live online instruction and later this year at their facility in Columbia, MD. UMBC Training Centers has joined the AWS Partner Training Partner Program, which enables AWS Authorized Instructors to deliver training developed by AWS around the world.

As cloud technologies continue to help organizations transform their businesses at a rapid pace, employees with the necessary technical expertise and credentials are in high demand; 59% of technology decision-makers at organizations plan to transition mostly or entirely to the cloud by the end of 2021*. The AWS Training Partner Program is designed for training organizations like UMBC Training Centers, who have a proven and reliable history in technical training, to help businesses fill this skills gap. As part of the program, UMBC Training Centers delivers AWS Training to enable IT professionals and businesses to make better use of the cloud.

UMBC Training Centers offers training for numerous foundational AWS Certification exams, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer, and more. In addition to providing professional development training for individuals and organizations, UMBC Training Centers also prioritizes workforce and career transition training programs. To that end, UMBC Training Centers is currently developing a workforce training program that leverages their new status as an AWS Training Partner to prepare students transitioning into careers in cloud computing and related fields with training to earn entry-level AWS Certifications.

Many courses also include hands-on labs, which allow learners to practice skills in a sandbox to solidify knowledge. AWS Training also helps prepare learners to take AWS Certification exams, which validate technical skills and expertise with an industry-recognized credential.
